Edwin Mamo

Edwin was born in Iran and started music at age of 10. Studied piano in Tehran conservatory with Dr. Clara Bokochava and Tengiz Shalokhashvili. Edwin was also student of Iranian composer and pianist Mr. Azad Hakim-Rabet. In 2016, Edwin migrated to United States and studied piano with Dr. Lydia Lee, Dr. KC Manji and later with Dr. Mark Richman.

He also studied piano pedagogy with Dr. Gayle Kowalchyk (piano premier method, and music for little Mozarts author and Alfred’s editor). “His performance is so sensational that opens new doors to Scriabin’s world” said Dr. Ingrid Clarfield when Edwin performed etudes by Scriabin. “His performance of Bach is absolutely amazing” said Dr. Dmitry Rachmanov. Edwin, recently graduated from Cal State Northridge with a bachelor in piano performance. Edwin has performed recitals in Southern California and started his teaching career in 2020.
